FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

bgImage

Q. How do you provide price estimates?

A.  We quote any requests that we receive using a combination of Google maps and Google street view. These tools allows us to asses the size of your property without having to schedule a time to come to look at it in person, which allows us to come up with a price quickly and effectively.

Q. What does the service cost?

A. Prices vary per property, please Contact Us with your address for a personalized quote.  Bundling multiple services together will decrease the overall cost compared to signing up for them individually.

Q. Which product do you use for weed control?

A. We use a product called Fiesta - it is the only viable weed control product available for use by licensed professionals in the province of Ontario.

Q. How do I pay?

A. Unlike many companies, we do not bill you upfront. We bill our customers at the end of each month over the course of a three month period.  We accept cash, cheques, PayPal or E-Transfers.

Q. What kind of fertilizer do you use?

A. We use a slow release granular fertilizer with a nutrient ratio of 30-0-10.  This type of fertilizer remains active for a long period of time and continues providing nutrients to the lawn long after it is applied.

Q. How does Aeration work/what does it do?

A. Aeration involves using a machine to poke small holes known as "cores" in your lawn.  By doing this, water and air can more effectively penetrate the soil and reach the roots of your grass.  This also loosens up the soil to allow for quicker root growth.

Q. What results can I expect?

A. Regardless of which service you sign up for, you should begin seeing results shortly after your first service.  Weed control treatments may take from a few days up to a week from the time of application to start fully eliminating weeds, while fertilizer can start making the grass turn a darker green color even just a few days after treatment.  Worthy of noting is that some invasive plants that spread onto lawns might be immune to weed treatments. Crabgrass within the lawn is also unaffected by our treatments.

Q. Can I water my lawn after a service?

A.  You can water your lawn after fertilizer or aeration services, however water can ruin the effectiveness of the weed control spray, so we would strongly advise to not water your lawn until at least a full day after we have applied the product.

Q. What do you do if it rains?

A.  If it is raining on your schedule day of service, we will either come by the following day or we will let you know when the next available time is.  If it happens to end up raining on the same day that we have already done your weed spraying, we will re-do the service another time if it has adversely affected the treatment.

Q. What sets you apart?

A.  Many competing companies only do two or three treatments each of weed spraying or fertilizer per season, however we instead provide four services of both spread throughout summer.  By providing more treatments, there are fewer gaps in between visits which we find greatly reduces the opportunity for weeds to start re-populating your lawn.  In addition to this, we also take more time to closely look at the needs of your lawn on every visit, rather than quickly rushing in and out like some other providers often do.  Some lawns simply need more care and attention than others, and we will do whatever is necessary to make sure every customer gets the same quality results.

Q. What guarantees on success do you offer?

A.  Although we cannot guarantee that we will eliminate every single weed, you should notice a significant reduction in the number of weeds by the end of the season.  We usually manage to get rid of at least 80-90% of the weeds that would have normally grown on your lawn during a season without any treatment.
